John Brown and his band have been perennial favorites for over 10 years in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. John Brown's wide array of genres and song catalog work on many levels from intimate gatherings of 20 to 50 people as a solo performer,or duo and trio combinations as a need for more musical sound becomes applicable. For events of 200 or more the complete John Brown Band consists of a core of 4 or 5 musicians with an additional horn section of 2 musicians available to bring the band to a "rockin'" 7 piece for events of 600 or more people.
The John Brown Band is one of two bands voted "Best in The South Bay 2009" by the Easy Reader annual "Best Of" publication. They perform annually for the City of Redondo Beach 4th of July fireworks, The Redondo Lobster Festival, and the Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks in December to crowds of 8-10,000 people.
