Minstrel Streams is a husband/wife Instrumental/Cinematic/Inspirational duo with Matt Stuart playing piano, keyboards, acoustic guitar, and vocals; and Rebecca Stuart playing flute and Native American flute. They are composer/musicians, recording artists, and performers; and provide a variety of musical flavors. Their music has been described as a unique blend of classical, folk, and world music.

Minstrel Streams' mission is to promote peace, love, joy, healing and mercy through their music.

Minstrel Streams has released four CDs titled "On Earth As It Is In Heaven," "Minstrel Streams," "Winterpeace," and "New Horizon."

Minstrel Streams (Matt & Rebecca Stuart) recently ventured to Will Ackerman's Imaginary Road Studios in Windham County, Vermont to record their latest CD "New Hprizon." Musical magic happened in the mountains of southern Vermont.

This beautiful album features Matt Stuart playing a Steinway B Grand Piano and Taylor acoustic guitar; and Rebecca Stuart playing a Gemeinhardt flute and Native American flutes. They were also joined by many wonderful musicians such as:
Eugene Friesen (GRAMMY winning cellist); Jill Haley (English Horn); Paul Kochanski (string bass); Matt Heaton (Bodhran drum); Noah Wilding (vocals); and Tom Eaton (percussion and accordian).

This inspired CD covers a spectrum of styles...from the classically flavored "Ancient Mariner" and "Come to the Waters" to the Native American themed "Dawn Rising" and "Visions for Tomorrow." World music elements can be found in "Memories of Kyoto" and "Celestial's Rainbow" (Celtic and Spanish).

Special thanks to Tom Eaton for his excellent job of recording, mixing, and mastering; and Will Ackerman for inspiring enabling this project.

Matt and Rebecca also composed and performed the soundtrack for the documentary "White Blanket Gathering" for Revive Productions. They have performed for enthusiastic audiences throughout California at venues including concert halls, weddings, art galleries, outdoor events, spiritual gatherings, churches, and private parties. Matt has been known to include a few vintage folk songs during their performances.

In the words of reviewer Sergey Oreshkin - Ascentor:

“NEW HORIZON” – “This album was born under the shadows of the mountains of southern Vermont in the legendary Will Ackerman's Imaginary Road Studios – where masterpieces of contemporary New Age music are created. In addition to Matt and Rebecca , there were several guest artists including GRAMMY winning cellist Eugene Friesen. They created music that sends the imagination to new and unexplored horizons. This wonderful CD also reflects traditions of the past combined with the diversity of the world's cultures. NEW HORIZON weaves subtle and elegant sound patterns through threads of classical music, Baroque music, Renaissance Romanticism, and folk music (Celtic) which conjures up thoughts of endless green landscapes, and traditional canons of Central Europe. In these gentle streams, one can hear the dialog of the past and the present. As part of this journey, the listeners can push themselves further and further into the horizon to discover new worlds filled with light”

Matt and Rebecca are members of BMI and The Recording Academy.
