Samara Jade Acoustic Duo from Weaverville, NC

My name is Samara Jade and I am a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, mandolin, piano) songwriter and musician based near Asheville, North Carolina. I am versed in folk, Celtic, and jazz music and my original music incorporates elements of all of those and more. Though my profile is listed as "ensemble," I am available for gigs as a solo artist - as well as a duo, or trio (with fiddler and upright bass or drummer), with a mix of vocal and instrumental music. My Celtic/folk duo with fiddler Megan Drollinger is called Balsam Fae, and we play a mix of Irish trad and original music with an adjacent sound. I am also available for doing solo music, either instrumental guitar (fingerstyle) or vocal. I am attended Berklee College of Music for guitar in 2006, have been gigging and touring nationally for the past 15 years solo and with various bands, have worked as a music/songwriter teacher, and played a variety of events and venues from weddings to memorial services to festivals to intimate house shows.
