John Harvey Allen Acoustic Guitarist from Muncie, IN

John Allen is a solo artist who plays acoustic guitar and sings. He has been performing professionally for more than thirty years. Typically in the roll of a front man, John has performed with a wide variety of bands in, and around the state of Indiana. In recent years, however, John has found a passion for simply sitting down at the mic with the acoustic guitar and playing to a more attentive, and intimate audience. John released a CD a few years back entitled "Loud and Clear", which features twelve original songs. The CD was received quite well on a regional level, and he continues to have copies of the CD available at most performances. When performing John will occasionally do an original song or two, but mostly by request only. Live performances typically include a wide variety of cover material ranging from artists such as Tom Petty, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffet, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, The Gin Blossoms, Peter Gabriel, and a few country standards. "I truly enjoy interacting with an audience, and soliciting their participation. I'm even known for telling a few decent jokes, although my wife will be the first to let you know that a professional comedian I am not.
