As a native Californian, Jay Alvarez is from the San Francisco Bay Area, Jay first picked up the guitar in the summer of 1995. As a self taught guitarist, he soon started composing his own style of music. After making a demo cd and distributing to local restaurants, he was hired by the Shadowbrook in Capitola for his first gig as their Spanish guitarist and one thing quickly lead to another.Jay is happy to extend his guitar accompaniment for wedding ceremonies and events in Napa, Sacramento, Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. He also specializes in upbeat cocktail reception music to create a lively atmosphere providing spanish classical and contemporary guitar,
