Marilyn Milano Music Pianist from Seattle, WA

I am a melodic pianist and composer with the motto "Music From the Heart, for the Soul"! I've been playing piano since I was 5 years old and majored in piano in college. I consider my style to be "eclectic pop"--some have said my music takes bits from Elton John, Sting, and George Winston. I played music in clubs in my 20's, moved on to a career in sales for over 30 years, which was cut short by COVID, and opted to return to my true passion and my roots--MUSIC! I cover oldies (My One and Only Love, Summertime, As Time Goes By), mid-century pop (Elvis, Elton, The Beatles, Steely Dan, The Stones, Chad and Jeremy and much more) and music from 2000 on including songs from Adele, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, and John Legend. I am open for one-time events (memorials, wedding receptions, private parties i.e. retirement or birthday), and am also open to repeat gigs depending on the details. I am comfortable in senior living communities, memory care, or upscale dining establishments like the Washington Athletic Club (Torchy's) where I played off and on for almost 2 years before the new management cut the piano program). I am very aware and tuned in to what my potential audience likes and is looking for and have a wide enough repertoire that I can customize playlists. I also enjoy composing original music which can be used as a gift for a retirement, birthday or other special event. These tunes can be original piano only, original piano and original lyrics, or parody lyrics (recently was hired to do a birthday tune for a business associate to the tune of Elton's "Rocket Man".) I tend to connect emotionally with my audience through my music and am comfortable either engaging the audience, or staying in the background, per the client's preference.
