In Lieu Of Flowers plays original New England Americana with a small mix of cover songs you all know but played in a unique way. We bring a vintage vibe with tight harmonies to every event we play at; Irish Bouzouki, Fiddle, Accordion, Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Bass Guitar, Drums, and Percussion. Inspired by country, roots-rock, folk, and blues. We released a 9-song record on Apple Music, iTunes, Pandora, Spotify etc.. with rave reviews and releasing our 2nd record in early December 2026. This is so unfortunate, our communications were clear that the violin, acoustic guitar and other acoustic instruments do not do well outside in temps in the 40's, I also have on record of you texting me the night before the event, saying “if you can't play, I understand, no sweat”. We had every intention of playing, even learned a song that you requested “Amarillo by Morning” then when I asked if we could use your barn because of the cold weather arriving that day you said “no room in barn but temps should only be 48” (the temps would drop as we play closer to 7 and 8pm outside. On the morning of the event, 2 of us showed up at your house to discuss the situation, you said you have a "work-around" and cleared out your barn but there was not enough room for the whole band to fit in there. And now you're saying that you had an enclosed 4-sided tent?? If so, you never mentioned that to us at any time, we could have easily played inside this tent. Why didn't you tell us it was enclosed?Review by Freddie D.
