Jimbo Scott is a genre sprawling songwriter that attempts to fill all of the space available in Americana Music. With songs that jump from Country, to Rock, to Folk and Bluegrass to Soul, he offers a lush demonstration of rich story-telling dripping in premier vocal performance. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area and described by Tahoe Weekly as “Honest Honey-Eyed Americana”, Jimbo Scott casts reflections around the room, flashing from honest self-deprecation to cinematic retrospectives. Jimbo was recognized for his songwriting with his song, “Live Free” placing as a finalist and semi-finalist with the 2025 Great American Song Contest and the 2025 International Songwriting Competition, respectively. He has entertained audiences far and wide including the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, the Kate Wolf Music Festival, The Ten Mile Creek Revival, Whalerock, Strawberry Music Festival, and Salmonfest. Whether solo or with his progressive Americana band, Jimbo Scott and Yesterday’s Biscuits, Jimbo is a rising force in the West Coast Americana Scene, not to be missed and best to be consumed with reckless abandon. The starting quote of $700 is for a solo performance with Jimbo in the SF Bay Area with minimal equipment included. The band can include up to 6 members and can also provide sound equipment and a sound engineer. The final price will be dependent upon how long the band/crew will need to be on site for the event, how much equipment we are providing and the distance from the SF Bay Area. Any performances requiring travel of more than 50 miles may require an additional fee to cover lodging and transportation for all band/crew/equipment. Jimbo Scott & Yesterdays Biscuits is able to perform a variety of covers, most of which have been adapted to suit our instrumentation and style. We prefer to include our original music in any setlist. We are happy to learn special songs for any event, but we are not a 'cover band'.
