Slick City Pickers Americana Band from Glendale, CA

Slick City Pickers is a versatile acoustic band who entertains with rocking Americana songs, bluegrass, classic country and even originals. We are dobro/guitar, guitar, mandolin and upright bass. We even add a drummer if a more more energetic and dance-like atmosphere is desired. We all sing and the songs we play focus mainly on vocals and harmonies. We've been together since 2016 and have played concerts, fairs, parties, restaurants, farmers markets, retirement communities and clubs. We always have a lot of fun and aim to make that infectious. The features of Slick City Pickers that differentiate us is our combination of vocals, instrumentation and repertoire. Our genre is very crossover as we play songs from Johnny Cash to Marty Stuart to bluegrass to John Prine to Union Station and more. We can even include some rock'n'roll, folk or originals. We are definitely a string band that is seasoned and capable of providing entertainment in a variety of venues. The Slick City Pickers got its start by busking in the streets of Pasadena and Burbank. Soon we got invited to play inside some establishments. We have since been playing at street fairs, country clubs, bars, parties, city functions, retirement community concerts (which we love!) and even more busking when we get the itch to go out on the street and start singing!
