A: This refers to any act performed in the air. There are many different types of aerial acts. Here's a basic list: Trapeze: A short steel bar which hangs from two ropes. This act can either be "swinging" (one or two artists on the same bar while swinging back and forth); static (artist(s) perform tricks on a bar that is unmoving); or "flying" (what most people think of when "trapeze" is mentioned: Two bars are used, and artists "fly" from one to another) Q: What is a freestanding aerial rig? Sounds complicated. A: Actually, this piece of equipment is designed so that we can bring aerial arts to your event with ease and peace-of-mind. Bringing the rig means that we do not have to hang our equipment from your ceiling! It can be set up indoors and out and can go up in 15 minutes, pulled down in 5. Q: What are the dimensions of your rig? Does it require pounding stakes into the ground? A: Our rig can be set up at varying heights up to 21 ft, and it looks like a giant swing set. The footprint at full height measures around 25 feet on all sides (smaller, if not set up at full height). No stakes are required!
