Shaw Strings String Quartet from West Chester, PA

When you hire the Shaw Strings you get outstanding musicans as well as peace of mind! Founded in 1989, the Shaw Strings can provide you with a string quartet, trio, duo,solo harp or classical guitar. You can substitute a flute for the first violin if you wish. We charge by the event, not the exact time and arrive 1 hour prior to every event so that we can be ready to play as soon as your guests arrive. We work closely with your event planner and/or banquet manager or officiant. Our repertoire lists include classical, popular tunes and favorites from Broadway shows. If we don't have your song, we will work together with you to get an arrangement to personalize your wedding. The Shaw Strings consists of 65 carefully selected musicians who play together on a regular basis. We are not union musicians who have to work within very strict union rules, nor are we a pick-up group. We rehearse regularly and play several times a year as the Shaw Symphonette - usually for a fund raising project or civic event. Since we are not just a group of four, we don't have to worry about cancelling due to illness or family events. We will be there no matter what the weather! Your event is very important to us!
