Bill arrived 5 minutes before the program started rather than 30 minutes early as requested. He mentioned he got caught in traffic and that is why he arrived with no time to spare. He was asked to play three songs-the first song went pretty well but then other two were very rough. He mentioned he got choked up when thinking about a family member in the military and he was having a hard time performing the 2nd and 3rd song. He was great to communicate with before the performance but the performance itself was lacking unfortunately.

While Bill was a very nice man, I think he possibly needed a little more preparation and practice. The perfect day was put to a screeching halt with a drop of his pipes during the recessional, which was THE only reason he was there. The moment was embarrassing for me since it was a surprise from me to my daughter and guests. His other songs were broken and not well played.

All Pipers have rare moments when the interior drone reed slips and causes the piping to cease. Regardless how prepared it can happen like a broken harp or guitar string. I am very meticulous concerning my pipe. I sincerely apologized for my instrument mishap.
Dozens of guests complemented and thanked me for my music. Bagpipes only have 9 notes with no flats or sharps. We have to use extra notes that vary songs sometimes from the way they are traditionally played.
