The Chicagoland bagpiper Mr Steve Coyne did a fantastic job with the event our band Damnation (Joliet's own AC/DC tribute band) performed at in Wilmington Illinois at Catfish Days at the Rustic Inn. He was a true professional and a crowd pleaser to say the least. People are still talking about the show and will be for sometime to come. He understood what we wanted from him and he did a fantastic job with his proformance. We would like to thank you very much for the opportunity to rate gig masters and we would highly recomend Steve and Chicagoland Bagpipers for your future events. He was awesome. We are very glad we found him through your site!! Thank you!

Steve was great! He was extremely easy to work with. Called me the day of the event to confirm everything and worked with me because it was a surprise for my Grandma. She thought it was the coolest thing that she had a bagpiper play at her birthday party. Thank you so much Steve!

His attitude toward my team and me was unnecessarily rude. He spoke poorly about me directly to several of my team members, apparently not realizing I was standing right there. It was uncomfortable, uncalled for, and completely inappropriate for someone hired to perform a service. What makes it even more frustrating is that he was the one who offered to take the job after seeing my post looking for a bagpiper. Yet when he arrived, he made a snide comment that I “shouldn’t book so late next time,” as if I had inconvenienced him. If accepting the booking was an issue, that should have been communicated upfront, not turned into a complaint at the event.

Thank you for your feedback. I take professionalism very seriously, so I was surprised to read this and want to clarify a few points. I did not speak negatively about you or your team at any point. If anything I said was interpreted that way, that certainly was not my intent. Regarding the comment about booking timing — St. Patrick's season is by far the busiest time of year for bagpipers, and most dates are booked well in advance. My comment was simply meant as general guidance for future events, not as a complaint or criticism. I still accepted and fulfilled the booking to ensure your event had live bagpipe music. I'm glad you enjoyed the performance itself, and I wish you and your team all the best moving forward.
