Nicole Maria is the most sought-after professional bellydancer in the Bay Area. Nicole is available for weddings, birthdays, surprise parties and more! With more than 10 years of professional experience, she has exactly what you need to make your celebration an event to remember! Nicole puts on an energetic show complete with a variety of props including mystical veil, rhythmic finger cymbals, and sword balancing and loves to get her audience up dancing and joining her in the end! Nicole received her B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Archaeology with a minor in World Music from San Francisco State University. She has always been interested in the intersection of culture and dance and the study of dance in its sociocultural context. As a performer, she is interested in portraying both contemporary and traditional forms of Middle Eastern dance as well as dances from Turkey, Greece, and the Balkans. At an early age, Nicole expressed an interest in music from around the world, leading her to study a variety of dance forms including ballet, modern, jazz, Latin dance and Persian dance, as well as folkloric and contemporary dances from North Africa, the Middle East and the Balkans.
