Uptown Big Band couldn't have been more communicative, accommodating and talented in every way. They listened to what the bride wanted and what I wanted as the mother of the bride. Their music was what every wedding should have as they were extremely high energy and very danceable. The only issue I had is I couldn't hear the female vocalist when she was speaking/announcing. Her speaking voice didn't carry, but her vocal voice did. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for this type of band!!!

Uptown Big Band was amazing! They were the life of the party and had people talking for days! The band was great to work with and very accommodating even when we had to make a few changes in flow for the night. They were very professional and punctual and played their hearts out for our guests. We will absolutely hire them again when we have a need for such amazing talent.

Uptown Big Band promised to deliver and indeed they did in a huge way! We hired UBB to lead a Second line Jazz funeral in Yarnell and perform at the after celebration. Both a raging success! Talented, professional, personable. This aspect of our event was absolutely stress free as Gerald Shelley walked us through it and set it all in motion. Do you want an event that will have your guests talking for years? Hire these musicians. Yarnell is abuzz today. I can say I expect they will play Yarnell again and again. Pros: The band's overall sound was great, arrived on time, and had a great presentation.
Cons: Too much time between songs, ended before scheduled time and played music from an iPhone instead.

This was a really great gig, put on by U-Haul for disabled veterans at a lovely outdoor Frank Lloyd Wright venue. We typically play recorded music during the allowed breaks and did in this instance. Only after the last veteran left in the last bus, did a member of the clean-up staff ask us to play music not in our repertoire. With all guests gone, late on a cold November night, I asked the commenting host if we could accommodate the clean-up crew by playing recorded music. She agreed. We downloaded the requested tunes on the spot & played them through the iPhone & our system. The staff loved them! I was quite surprised when the comment came in as it did.

Words can't express how AMAZING this band is! They were truly the highlight to our wedding, and the quality/size/professionalism of the RMS band is still (two weeks later) a talking point with our guests, the hotel, our photographers/videographers/dj and us! Our guests were mainly from the NYC/East Coast and assumed we paid 4 times then what we actually paid for them. Every picture we've seen from our guests, included the Band. The RMS Band was dressed for the occassion, they had an outstanding playlist, and they made our wedding night a day we don't think we can ever outdo. Thank You Thank You Thank You for making our day an unbelievable and memorable day!
