Fantastic! The music was great and working with Dave and the group was perfect. Talented and nice people who like to play music for people. Everybody commented on the quality - loved them. I would grab this band anytime! Dave and the rest of the band, thanks for helping make this a terrific event and party.

It was a wonderful event. and we enjoyed learning thenew song for the mother/sn dance, and were happy when they picked a timeless class, "My girl", for the father/daughter dance!
Many of our clients choose to make this an annual event, for wedding reunions, renew vows, or simply "lets have another great party"!!

A note of appreciation to Dave Weld and The Imperial Flames. They played a private gig for us last night in Lombard, IL. Far exceeded our expectations. Great musicianship, high energy, and fun interaction throughout the night. 3 lead singers keep the sound diverse. Kept all of our group out on the dance floor the whole evening. We have events twice per year and many people said this was the best band ever. If you need a band in or around Chicago that can mix it up but stay true to the blues - Dave Weld and the Imperial Flames is your go to band. Very easy to work with on the arrangements. Worth every penny.

Book the band a few days before the event and they did a great job. Had ppl dancing and having a great time. Highly recommended. The event was a private buyout of a bourbon bar in the downtown Chicago area for 200+ ppl for an after hours party from 10 pm - midnight.

We hired Dave Weld and the Imperial Flames for a birthday party for about 50 people. Setting up the date was relatively easy, band was on time, accommodated requests and was professional throughout the evening. I chose this band because I was looking for versatile and experienced musicians- and was not disappointed. Most of our guests danced at least once during the night, but I personally never took my feet off dance floor. We received a lot of compliments on the band and would easily choose them again.

Hire this band!! I am an accomplished musician so I am probably more critical than the average person. Dave and the band exceeded my expectations in every way. From the initial communication, to the planning, set list, and performance, on-stage personality, DW&TIF are amazing. Not only are they the real deal for Chicago blues, they played Motown, R&B, funk, Americana, and more. From the guitar licks, to the soulful sax and 3 part harmonies, I was blown away. Everyone in the band is 5 star! I have already hired them for our block party this next month. Thanks again to Dave and the band for making my 50th birthday party the most memorable yet!

We had a high end wedding reception in Indianapolis. Dave and his band were perfect for our event. They are outstanding blues musicians but with a broad range of music for all tastes. They received many compliments from our guests. The band was fun, professional, easy to work with and very accommodating. They perform with great energy. The female vocalist was superb and a real crowd pleaser. They had a good, polished appearance and were always in good taste. We highly recommend Dave Weld and the Imperial Flames and would hire them again without hesitation.

Thank you Gig-Masters...this was the first time I had hired Dave Weld and the Imperial Flames...it will not be the last...they are excellent, talented and fun... if you like Chicago Blues with a touch of rock and roll, hire them...don't know if my feet will ever recover.

Absolutely fantastic blues band!!! Top notch. Totally professional, reliable, and accommodating. We can't wait to have them play for us again. Every member of the band is talented enough to be a headliner in their own right. They can rock out a large venue, but we had them for a small private fundraiser, and they adjusted perfectly with easy background during cocktail hour, then after dinner fantastic riffs and vocals. And unlike prior bands, they tuned into the needs of the crowd. They'd be perfect for a wedding, block party, blues fest, restaurant/bar, any venue because they're GOOD and they CARE about the audience, and as a result the music is FANTASTIC!

Dave Weld and the Imperial Flames played for our annual Dinner & Dance on 2/5/11. It was an absolutely positive experience from beginning to end. I've been arranging this event for the past 10 years and Dave was by far the easiest, most enjoyable person to work with. We communicated early and often leading up to the event. The group was there early, set up quickly and were ready to play on schedule. Then, what a great show! True musician's who know their craft. They definitely know how to please a crowd. Very entertaining and great music. I would defintely recommend and hire again. You won't be sorry!!
