About Vendor
Learn more about this vendor for your event.
The Piedmonsters are a high-energy acoustic blues quartet known for getting non-blues audiences on their feet. Our name, the Piedmonsters, is an ode to Piedmont blues, the funky, syncopated blues style of the East Coast. From there, we adventurously mix this traditional acoustic dance music with R&B, spirituals, ragtime, jazz, and rock, creating an exciting world of musical crossovers – something fun and funky for everyone! We perform up and down the East Coast, including festivals (such as the Silver Spring Blues Festival, the Carolina Indie Fest, and the John Jackson Piedmont Blues Festival), special concerts (such as at the Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation, Holt Park and Center for the Arts, and house parties), and bars/breweries/wineries/cafes/restaurants. The talent booker for the Carolina Indie Fest, Tim Emmert, wrote this to us in his offer email: “I listened to the music you submitted to the Carolina Indie Fest for the Piedmonsters and I’m a fan! I listen to 500-1000 submissions to the festival every year and only offer 15-20 bands, so the offer really means something.” Members of our quartet have played with BB King, Cephas and Wiggins, Charlie Musselwhite, Canned Heat and Jimmie Vaughan, among others. We look forward to bringing our traveling juke-joint experience to your event! Mike Berman: resonator and acoustic guitars, vocals Cynthia Stockstill-Vierria: vocals and percussion Tom Walbank: harmonica and vocals Steve Woods: rhythm bones and vocals
