JOE FERRY & THE BIG SKA BAND is a 7-piece group led by multi-Grammy nominated producer and bassist JOE FERRY (producer of The Skatalites, The Skandalous Allstars, Perfect Thyroid, Dr. John, Sue Foley, The New Orleans Klezmer Allstars, among many others). The band includes some of the most noted musicians in New York and features acclaimed vocalist CYRILLE. Joe’s work in the genre of ska is world renowned. He has produced numerous CDs as well as music for movie soundtracks, TV specials and commercials. Joe Ferry's current CD, “Big Ska” (released on ShantyTown/Jump Up Records), is receiving critical raves and national airplay. The Big Ska Band's repertoire borrows from the “Big Ska” CD as well as from Joe Ferry's debut CD, “Skallelujah”.
