THE GUMBO BAND: A BRASS BAND FOR THE AGES
THE OLDEST WEST COAST / AUTHENTIC NEW ORLEANS / MARDI GRAS / MARCHING BAND IN THE USA
Before the nineteenth century many American Funerals included Brass bands.
Available for: Festivals – Funerals – Home Goings - Parades - Mardi Gras Parties – Concerts – Dances – Weddings - Birthday Parties & Anniversaries – Divorces - You name it and we'll be there.
Our repertoire includes Swing, Zydeco, Blues, Cajun, Gospel, Dixie Land and some R&B with a New Orleans second line with a twist at the behest of our clients.
Henry Clements Gumbo Band is the West Coast's premiere authentic New Orleans Marching & Stage Band. The oldest (50 years) Internationally renowned Mardi Gras and Funeral Band.
Some featured songs include: When the Saints Go Marching In, Precious Lord, Amazing Grace, A Closer Walk with Thee, Swing Low Sweet Chariot, What a Friend We Have in Jesus, Ava Maria, Down By the Riverside, Fly Away, His Eye is on the Sparrow, Wonderful World, How Great Thou Are and much more.
The new Gumbo Band co-leaders, Paul Tillman Smith & Professor David Hardiman Sr are widely respected music historians and teachers. You can view their history on Google.

We had a Mardi Gras party for about 300 people, Gumbo Band came and played, and they blew everybody away, they were absolutely awesome.

I was very hesitant to use GigMasters... I was worried that it was some sort of scam and I would end up without a performer at my event... boy was I mistaken! The Gumbo Band was AMAZING, professional and so kind! We very much enjoyed having them at our event and are hoping to hold another event where we can have them join us again. Thank you GigMasters for proving me wrong and helping with such a successful event!
