Nawlins Po Boyz/Caribbean Cajuns is a fully insured (COI) available for corporate events, weddings, parties, solo act and band etc. Acoustic guitar, violinist, steel drum squeezebox solo, duet, up to 3 pieces or more playing; AUTHENTIC Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, Mardi Gras, Dixieland, Rockabilly, Classic Country, Folk and Bluegrass,contemporary, Caribbean Steel Drums, Island and Hawaiian Polynesian songs, Calypso, Reggae & Carrebean Style, Irish,Greek, Polish, German, Jewish, and many variety of ethnic styles. Several great gigmaster/bash bands that claim to be cajun and zydeco may give that impression or sound, but we are the REAL DEAL as we are from New Orleans, and Big Mamou Louisiana. Lester Verrette member is nephew of Legendary FATHER of cajun music, Dewey Balfa, he's performed on many of his authentic cajun records! Jack Holcomb is great nephew of legendary Roscoe Holcomb who was considered father of appalacian and bluegrass music, long before Bill Monroe. We are the REAL DEAL! We do authentic cajun french creole when we sing as well as perform with the authentic Louisiana instruments, fiddle, squeezebox, accordion, scrubboards (frottier) triangle(tefar) we can also add brass to our band including saxaphone for additional fees. We also have a DJ & KJ karaoke show! Over 250,000 songs!!!! We additionally play Doo Wop 50's, and was inducted in the doo wop hall of fame, under doo wop cajuns, we do classic Rock n' Roll ( Swamp Pop as we say in New Orleans 50's, 60's )as the Doo Wop Cajuns. Caribbean steel drums and Beach music for Pool Parties and all other outdoor events. Corporate parties & events. We are a Jimmy Buffet band or solo! With original Jimmy Buffet songs as well as cover tune, Bob Marley Reggae, calypso Harry Belafonte, calypso rose, ska, Beach Boys harmony etc, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown etc full violinst and instrumental chrome steel pan band! Performing on cruise ships, Nassau Bahamas, Useppa Island Bookelia, weddings corporate events on the beach. We have our own canapy tent! We are great for Indoor and outdoor Concerts, weddings, Low Country Boils, Pig Roasts, Bar b ques, Oyster Roasts, Clam Bakes, Crawfish Boils, club events, KARAOKE, Luaus, and any kind of cookouts. Or indoor/outdoor pool pareties and corporate events/weddings etc. We can play with the sound power of a full Live band for your Festival, Club Date or Private party for less cost then hiring a full band. Starting price of $250 is for solo performance depending the distance. additional travel fee could be added. We also can simply play Accoustically for that genuine Fais-Do-Do sound and bring the Rubboard, Triangle and other percussion instruments for your guests to play along. Additional musicians are available upon request for a full acoustic band with as many as 5 to 6 pieces (if desired)Drums, Bass, Guitar, Fiddle, Accordion squeezebox, banjo, mandolin, blues harmonica, saxaphone, brass, Island Chrome low C Steel Drum pan from Trinidad and triangle, slide & nose flute, Rubboard (frottier) and many other percussions, Full wardrobe of costumes Mardi Gras Umbrellas, beads, for special occasions and events. Back line or background, music consist of Laptop Computer midis flash drivestick 2 Terra byte drive and syncronized music, backing flashdrive tracks. Cajun Dave along with partner Lester on Scrubboard, being the Vocalist and harmonies, with captain Jack on beautiful harmonies, Jack is tremendous singer, and occasionally Cousin Alice will sing, Dave & Jack also plays Electric Guitar, Accoustic Guitar, 12 String Guitar, 4 and 5 string Violin/Fiddle, Banjo, mandolin, Harmonica, Squeezebox, Island Chrome low C Steel Pan Drums, Bamboo Xylophone, bass guitar (if needed) Scrubboard, triangle, and many percussion instruments etc. We definately provide a Variety of sound and AUTHENTIC cajun/zydeco styles to please all! We are a high energy band, that involve our audience, or can play laid back corporate evening dining sounds. We have alot of experience over 50 years and have performed with many big name acts, concerts, festivals etc. Even in our pictures you can see one picture with Christopher Lloyd on drums! He was Doc Brown in movie "Back to the Future" with Michael J Fox! And numerous other movie and Shows like Adams Family as Uncle Fester, or Jim in "Taxi" I have numberous pictures of many stars we performed with & backed up as well!
