Anniversary PartyReviewed on August 18, 2018From Oklahoma City, OK

Leading up to my event, Charles called to discuss exactly what I wanted, he asked about playlists, dress code, and the timing of the event. We then exchanged a few texts after that confirming music list and some details. He plan to set up 75 minutes before he was to go on, this wiggle room was a great, he was running late (traffic), but still got there in time to set up and start at the intended time. The 3 person band was amazing! Each musician knew a lot about music and some played multiple instruments! My family and friends enjoyed hearing music from the 70s (which was my request for the evening) from what Charles told me they could actually play anything.

If you want a band that will keep people up and on the dance floor dancing then this band is it. A wonderfully talented group that are willing to make your event memorable.

BanquetReviewed on April 27, 2015From Fayetteville, AR

My overall experience was great! Charles did an amazing job as the DJ, and everyone really appreciated the requests section of the night. The live band was amazing as well, and created an atmosphere that fit our venue and theme (1940s USO) perfectly.

Cocktail PartyReviewed on February 14, 2011From Tulsa, OK

WOW! All I am still left saying is WOW! The Steeln' Around Band was AWESOME! My luau themed reception was a huge hit because of Steeln' Around. My event was on Friday and the participants are still raving about how excellent the band was on Monday - That says ALOT! Thank you for being so flexiable with our requests and for helping me plan a one of a kind event. Emerson Entertainment is a 1st class act that I would recommend to ANYONE! I can't wait to book them again!

We used Emerson Entertainment for my in-laws 40th anniversary party. Hot Rod and the Cruisers were perfect. Everyone enjoyed the band. Would definitely use them again and recommend them for anyone looking for a band. We had a blast!

Emerson helped to make the wedding event truly memorable and fun! They play a wonderful variety of music for 20 somethings to 60 somethings and very danceable! We had many positive comments about the band and they were very accommodating.

After Dark is an amazing big band! We were astonished at the talent, professionalism, equipment, etc. Highly recommended. Great DJ service as well - subtle, not too flashy, great at accepting special requests, etc. Will use again.

FuneralReviewed on August 21, 2007From Tulsa, OK

Charles Emerson and his group were just wonderful! He was responsive to my requests, very organized and professional in setting the booking, etc. Stayed in contact with me, calling the evening before the service to confirm the arrangements and see if there was any other information he needed or requests that we had. His group was able to play the music requested - even when we through a new title at them just before the service. They were truly delightful people. Everyone remarked at how much they added to the service. I am so glad I found them and only wish I had the opportunity to use them again in a more extensive and positive event!

WeddingReviewed on June 28, 2008From Catoosa, OK

Emerson was great at our meetings and I thought we had covered all bases at our final on-site meeting.. There were some things that I wish would've have went better. He said he has some technical difficulties with his computer crashing. He forgot to play our entrance song into the reception. I had sent him an email telling him I wanted to change my "First Dance" song and he still played the old one (wasn't that big of a deal b/c I liked the one he played). We had discussed our cake cutting music to be located inside and he forgot and started playing the music outside instead of at the ceremony DJ booth. But all in all I don't think anyone noticed but me.
