Allen was a delight to work with! He arrived early to set up, fun and witty, great conversationalist. Our guests loved working with him! His style of caricatures were phenomenal and we cant wait to book him for our next event.

Allen's drawings are what I think of when I think of caricature art. His style is to draw the faces a little more elongated than the actual "model" which makes them fun. If you want a true to real life portrait he's not your guy but if you want something you can look at and not take yourself so seriously his stuff is fantastic. He was a blast to work with and good at communication. He came in character and we got several comments about how friendly and engaging he is. All he needed to get going was a table and 3 chairs. We will definitely be having him back again.

Allen was a dream to work with! He was extremely accommodating for our very large project. We needed 36 portraits done for all the staff members at our school. We also wanted there to be a vintage circus theme.
He was very flexible and fun to work with. The art was amazing! Our community of parents, teachers, students, etc. were all so impressed. I had many people ask for his contact information. Our teachers were overjoyed with their gifted portraits. I couldn't believe the likeness! So impressive!
I'm already racking my brain for ways to work with Allen again....Birthday parties, family portraits, etc!

Allen Schmertzler was the perfect addition to our Corporate, 2017 Holiday Party. He provided excellent customer service to our employees and guests by making wonderful small talk and providing excellent caricature drawings. He was the main topic of discussion as people watched his drawings come to life during the event. My only complaint is that I did not book him longer! I recommend Allen Schmertzler to anyone planning an event who is looking for a professional, friendly, punctual, reliable and over all amazing artist. Our caricature drawings will be the main topic of discussion when concerning our 2017 Holiday Party for years to come. Thank you Allen Schmertzler!!!

Allen was just wonderful! He is professional and punctual. He had great communication before and during the event. He emailed me to confirm he would be there and what time he would be there. He worked for 3 straight hours with a smile and lots of good conversation. He worked well with all the personality types we have in our community and overall we are very happy with our choice. Thanks Allen, you were a true professional and we will keep you in mind for future events and recommendations to others.
