Our experience was wonderful. He is a talented and patient man. He was ewxtremely accommadating and truly entertainting for all ages. I would recomend dan to anyone looking to make their party a complete success.
Rhode Island School of Design, where he received his
BFA in Illustration in 1991. Since then, he has done
freelance illustration for various publications, including
"The New York Times", "Newsweek", "The Village Voice", and "The Asbury Park Press".
He has drawn a number of celebrities live including Bill Clinton, Katie Couric, Andre Agassi, and Freeman McNeil.
He also showed at numerous galleries and clubs,
including "The Society of Illustrators", "Faces and Names", (159 W. 54th St.), and
"Rumours" (8th Ave. & 55th St.) where he has permanent
exhibitions. He has also done live caricatures at "Faces
and Names" since they opened; about 20 years ago.
He has worked as a live caricature artist for the past 26
years, including work at Six Flags-Great Adventure and has
done caricatures in Central Park, NYC for about 16 years.
Dan's caricature paintings are all over the country and in other parts of the world as well.
Dan is a recognized professional and member of the world-wide
International Society of Caricatures Artists and has won the award for second place in Portfolio of the Year for 2010 from the ISCA's annual Convention in Las Vegas.
Dan can do each face in about 5 min. in black and white or 10 min. in color. It averages out to 10-12 people in black and white in an hour, or about 6 people in color in an hour.
AND, most importantly, Dan provides free plastic sleeves for each drawing for protection! A fun time will be had by all!
