I am a caricature artist based in Tacoma, WA. I've been drawing cartoon portraits of folks for the last 6 years, but I've been a professional illustrator and cartoonist for 30 years. I enjoy drawing people and they seem to enjoy having a fun, commemorative piece of art to take home! My style isn't overly exaggerated or insulting, which is why I like to call my drawings "cartoon portraits". I can draw 12 to 16 faces per hour, depending on circumstances. I hired Mark Brill for a party 3 weeks in advance. He tells me the Wednesday before the party (on Saturday evening-3days!)) that he is double booked and wants to know if I have another caricature artist to fill in? Um, no. Just glad this wasn’t a real event that had my job on the line or something. This was just for friends at a holiday party I was hosting in my home. What a big disappointment the experience I had with him was. He returned my deposit (not even returned the way I paid it tho!) so he gets a meh from me.
