Christopher Brown - Cellist and Composer Cellist from Santa Ana, CA

Greetings. My name is Chris, and I'm a freelance cellist and composer currently based in southern California. I received my high school diploma from the Los Angeles County High School for Arts (LACHSA) in 2010, my Bachelor's degree in cello performance and music composition from Baldwin-Wallace University in 2015, and my Master's degree in cello performance from Cal State Long Beach's Bob Cole Conservatory of Music in 2018. I have performed live in such diverse settings as weddings, churches, funerals, art shows, and concert clubs. I'm able to arrange and prepare music in a variety of styles, ranging from classical standards to pop, folk, rock, and new music/avant garde. I am able to perform solo or with an ensemble, and am willing to work with any requests/technical specifications tailored to each unique event, such as amplification or backing tracks. I also have an extensive discography as a studio/session cellist. I have provided cello tracking and arrangements to projects in such genres as folk, pop, hip-hop, film scores, and metal. Projects of note include sessions for Osi and the Jupiter, Deeper Graves, Katya Grasso, Abigail Williams, Alyra Minayeva, Jae Havoc, and Sara Broshovske's score to the horror film "Beloved Beast". I have my own home studio and recording equipment, and am able to draw on my composition background to add uniquely tailored cello arrangements to your music.
