David Ross Celtic Bagpiper from Richmond, VA

Bagpiper for Funerals and Memorial Services I started playing the Great Highland Bagpipe in 1990 and began playing as a second profession four years later. I served as the Pipe Major for the Grade V competition division of the Greater Richmond Pipes and Drums for 4 years. I have retired from that position. I have competed in both solo and band competitions throughout the MidAtlantic Region of the United States. I have been honored to play at the Virginia State Capitol building on two separate occasions, and a re- dedication of Second Presbyterian Church in Richmond, VA, both attended by Governor Mark Warner. I also played for the retirement dinner held for Senator John Warner. I have played for numerous weddings and funerals at locations across the state, including The Chapel at The University of VA. I have also played for the wedding of UVA's past President Casteen. In addition to formal ceremonies, I have frequently played at area golf courses during tournaments. I typically play in Richmond, VA and surrounding counties. I am willing to travel up to 2 hours from Richmond, VA at an additional cost.
