In a male-dominated Celtic music scene, Galway Gals are a breath of fresh air. Galway Gals blend the best of traditional folk with songs by modern pop artists. We are highly-trained musicians who are available for weddings, pubs, corporate events, private parties, senior homes and many much more. We carry liability insurance and can bring out a full band for large events. We have been a big hit with senior citizens as we know which tunes they know and love and we have performed for those with special needs and in memory care units.
In 2023, Galway Gals had to turn down more than 125 gig opportunities for St. Patrick's week. This inspired us to make our full group even larger. We have added an additional 10 musicians to our Celtic collective, so please allow us to send out our musicians for your event. If we pitch members of Galway Group to you, we are pitching the most highly credentialed and talented musicians in Chicago who perform the same music as Galway Gals: jigs, reels, sentimental classics, drinking songs, in addition to songs by Irish favorites such as Van Morrison, U2, The Cranberries, The Corrs, the Pogues and many, many more. We have a large amount of pop, rock and country tunes that we can sprinkle into our shows, if you are not looking for 100% Celtic. Please view our pop and country sampler on this forum!
Galway Gals management also owns the Saddle Shoe Sisters band, a perfect 5 star reviewed retro 40s-60s act on this site. You can get discounts if you book both bands.

We struck GOLD with the Galway Gals on The Bash. The Galway Gals were a dream to work with in all areas- friendliness, communication, entertainment. From the beginning, even just communicating about a quote, they were so understanding, flexible, and showed so much excitement and care. During the performance, they were so lively! They are incredibly talented, know how to connect with a crowd (no matter how big or small). Our staff and members have continued to talk about how fantastic they were. We could not recommend them enough!!! I will be checking out their other projects as well, and I hope to get to see them perform/we get to work with them again in the future.
