The Jason Pollack Irish/Celtic Band in the San Francisco Bay Area brings the dynamic, inspiring music and song of Ireland, Scotland and other Celtic lands to life. The band features the great Irish traditional music combination of instruments: flute, fiddle, guitar, and bodhran (the Irish frame drum). We play the irresistible Celtic dance tunes (jigs, reels, hornpipes, waltzes), and sing the beautiful to bawdy songs of the Irish/Scottish tradition. High energy, fun, powerful acoustic music for venues great and small! For the past 6 years, Jason and the band have been thrilling audiences and clients at festivals and private parties. Former/Current clients include: Palo Alto Art & Wine Festival, KVMR Celtic Festival, Dublin Irish Festival, Caffe Trieste, Campbell Brewing Co., Baeltane Brewery, Kiwanis Club, Craigslist, many Country Clubs. The lineup of the band can be shifted to match the needs of your event and your vision of what the music should be; for instance, having a harp instead of guitar can be great for weddings. We also play events as a duo or trio depending on the client. We can also tailor the music to suit your event, from having lots of raucous pub songs, to playing more meditative, evocative instrumental tunes; from fast, toe-tapping traditional dance tunes, to a more quiet background style music; from mostly songs and some tunes, to exclusively all tunes and no songs.
