The blues got you down? That country twang ain't your thang? The Yokes are Austin's premier acoustic folk-rock band who will get you moving to classic pub songs, singing along with sea-shanties, and raising a pint or two. We can tailor our offering to fit the intended vibe, from contemporary folk-rock, traditional Irish folk music, all the way to a pirate-themed affair (we even have costumes if the event calls for it!) We have a repertoire of upbeat Pub-style Songs popularized by groups like The Clancy Brothers, The Dubliners, Christy Moore, Paddy Reilly, The Pogues, and more, as well as Canadian Atlantic standards Stan Rogers, McGinty, Alan Doyle and tons more! We're equipped to playing a wide variety of venues with a wider variety of audiences. We're well-seasoned in the festival circuit having played the Austin Celtic Festival, Salado Celtfest, Elgin St Patrick's Fest, Sherwood Celtic Yuletide and the Sherwood Forest Renaissance Faire. We regularly perform at Austin-area bars and pubs, retail shops like the Wheatsville Co-op, Sweet Sensi, Things Celtic and more.
