Described as “vibrant, versatile, and engaging,” the Jamaica Plain Saxophone Quartet brings energy and variety to every performance. JPSQ’s repertoire list covers the spectrum, with music appropriate for everything from weddings to birthdays to cocktail parties and more, and with almost a century of playing experience between the four members of the group, JPSQ brings poise and professionalism to every engagement. Established in 2016, JPSQ has performed actively throughout New England over the past four years, and has been presented by organizations such as the Harvard Club of Boston, Rasin Foundation, the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, the Peabody Essex Museum, Boston Parks and Recreation, and the Boston Public Market. Our extensive repertoire list (see the song list below!) includes current pop tunes (Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga), golden oldies (Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Neil Diamond), your favorite throwback tunes (Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Smashmouth), classic swing (Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller), Latin (Piazzolla), and Classical (Bach, Debussy, Handel). We are equally comfortable playing a cocktail hour or a wedding ceremony, and we are happy to work with you on any requests that you might have. Just get in touch!
