We were absolutely thrilled with the string quartet that played at our wedding! Our celebration blended African and American traditions, and the quartet’s incredible range of knowledge, spanning everything from Nigerian love ballads to classic favorites made the music truly unforgettable. Shelley, the quartet lead, was professional, timely, and responsive throughout the entire process, making the experience seamless. The quartet played beautifully and brought such elegance and emotion to our special day. We would wholeheartedly recommend them and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

We had a great experience with this ensemble. The Onyx Ensemble did a wonderful job at our event in September of 2025 in Richmond, VA. The group was prompt, professional, and high-quality in their performance. They also surprised us with some additional musicians that really rounded out the ambiance. This ensemble was a crowd favorite and such at hit at our outdoor wedding! We are appreciative for them being flexible as we had a constantly changing forecast, but they rolled with the punches. They were the perfect touch on a beautiful day and we highly recommend them for any event. Beautiful sounds and a very professional group to deal with in the lead up. Thanks for everything!
