This Neil Young Tribute concert as performed by Matt Carbonello is a Neil Young Tribute Act unlike any other tribute. Matt looks, sounds and acts just like Neil Young. Whether filling your sole with acoustic songs like "Harvest Moon" or "Needle and The Damage Done" or blowing you away with his incredible electric guitar riffs during "Hurricane" and "Rockin in The Free World", you will be amazed at his talent and ease playing all the Neil Young favorites. Matt really is a young Neil Young whose birthday is one day apart from Neil Young, .. has to be why there is such a striking resemblance. This is a true production in which Matt uses backing tracks to have the impact of a 4 piece band, with the price of a solo act. Matt has performed this tribute with rave reviews many times at impressive venues like Cary Hall in Lexington MA and The Dana Theatre at St. Anselm's College. We invited Matt to play at our town gazebo. It was just him on stage, but his set list was spot on. He had everybody tapping their toes and singing along and even a bit of dancing. Our Concert committee was very pleased.

The music and talent was very good. The audience was very happy. The sound tracks used to back up musician had some distortion. I too enjoyed the performance. But I have to be honest here. I would not consider this a Neil Young Tribute. I originally wanted a full Neil Young performance and thought that s what I was booking. But along the way I settled on a 50% Neil Young and 50% other songs from the era. What was delivered was done well.

I have been to tons of tribute acts and hired a few, too. So, that being said in all my years of listening to these tribute act, I have never heard a singer be so spot on. Even his guitar playing was unbelievable and the fans wanted more and more. Matt Carbonello might not look like Neil, but his playing, singing and soul was nothing less than spectacular. Also I didn't see one person leave early. Would I hire Matt for Neil Young tribute? Absolutely. So I did....hey man if your a Neil fan he's your man.....oh and he was a true professional... I can truly say I liked working with him and would again.
