SLAPHAPPY (adjective, informal) lighthearted, sportive, and cheerfully whimsical A three piece, classic rock band of seasoned musicians featuring drummer/saxophonist, keyboard/guitarist, bass guitar/vocalist, performing classic rock from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, original songs, and additional covers by request. SLAPHAPPY performs music slightly divergent from the beaten path of other classic rock bands, with an inventive, stylish, and austral vibe. Examples of songs covered that you may not hear from other groups include Waiting for a Girl Like You (Foreigner), Money (Pink Floyd), Nasty Dogs and Funky Kings (ZZ Top), Say Say Say (McCartney/Jackson), Just What I Needed (The Cars), I Am the Walrus (The Beatles), Message in a Bottle (The Police), Follow You Follow Me (Genesis) The Heart of Rock and Roll (Huey Lewis and the News), cool jazz like Mr. Magic (Grover Washington), plus a variety of rhythm and blues dance tunes (JJ Jackson, Sam and Dave, Sly and the Family Stone), and more! SLAPHAPPY specializes in providing entertainment for restaurants and pubs, private parties, fundraisers, and corporate events, inside and out, where the music can stay in the background if needed or in a "turn it up" mode for dancers and a bit of revelry.
