Brian edwards Classical Guitarist from Walnut, CA

Classical guitarist Brian Edwards blends rigorous classical technique with a versatile and modern artistic vision. Mr. Edwards has an extensive repertoire, containing standard works spanning from the Renaissance to the Contemporary. He is also well versed in popular and folk styles and frequently performed genres include Celtic, South American, Spanish/Flamenco, Asian, Latin and American Jazz, Classic rock, and Film music. Mr. Edwards carefully selects a tasteful and varied repertoire and is dedicated to showcasing the rich, orchestral capabilities of the classical guitar. As an undergraduate student at Cal State Fullerton Brian studied under Douglas Lora, Bokyung Byun, Martha Masters and Matthew Greif and performed in masterclasses for Scott Tennant, Bill Kanengeiser, Andrew York, Gabriel Bianco, Xavier Jara, and Irena Kulikova. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in guitar performance at Cal State Fullerton. Mr. Edwards performs on a spruce top guitar by luthier Jose Gonzales Lopez. He has performed at numerous venues including art galleries, wedding and funeral services, quincaneras, backyard parties, and recently as a soloist premiering a concerto by Ken Walicki at Segerstrom Concert Hall. He is open to all venues and occasions and will make every effort to provide a meaningful and immersive musical experience that will resonate with diverse audiences.
