While I never actually got to meet with Aki and Mike (I was swept up in the world of a bride!), I have to say they sounded amazing. Our guests loved the music and Aki was always very helpful over email. I would have liked to have thanked them in person, but the internet will have to do. The music they played on our wedding day was perfect and exactly how I always imagined it would be. Thank you so much!!

Aki and Mike were the consummate performers. They kept our guests entertained with a variety of musical selections that lent itself to the occasion. Prior to the engagement I provided Aki with a few musical selections that were my wife’s favorite songs. Although these songs were not part of Aki and Mike’s repertoire, they quickly learned the songs and performed them flawlessly. I wholeheartedly recommend Aki and Mike for any engagement.

Aki and Mike did a great job at the ceremony and since my wedding coordinator paid the balance and gratuity to Aki on the day of, I wasn't able to meet him in person. Through email communication, Aki was quick to send me samples via email attachments of specific song requests. He sometimes took a bit to respond to my emails (a week or more) but came through on the day of my wedding and that's what mattered to the most to me. I would definitely refer Aki and Mike if one needed acoustic guitar musicians.

Aki and Mike were great! We did not tell them in advance but many, many of our guests are/were professional musicians. They wanted to know where we got such great talent! My wife and I could not have been more pleased with Aki and Mike at our wedding - we did not give them a lot of direction but simply the genre of music to be played and they did the rest. They also found a few of the selections that we really especially did want to hear for the processional and they played beautifully. I would advise anybody who wanted a duo of guitars to choose Aki and Mike!

Aki and Mike were a fantastic classical group. They brought along a violinist who was great and really rounded out the sound. Aki and his voilinist partner Hu-Ping were amazing. They had excellent suggestions for the processional and, by our special request, learned a Beatles song for the bridal work, which they executed to perfection. They also were very professional and easy to work with.

We hired Aki and Mike for a corporate awards banquet at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel in November 2008. They showed up early, were well prepared, well dressed and friendly. We would highly recommend them for anyone needing lovely guitar music.

I was very disappointed. They did not help with the song selection at all, although I requested this. And worst of all, they came up to me, the bride, after the ceremony and asked for the rest of their money. It was so tacky!

We had an agreement with the person contracting us who turned out to be the bride, (which we did not know, and was never made aware of, ) and had agreed well in advance that the music we provided was exactly what we were hired to do. Why this client left a poor review is beyond me. According to the contract, signed and dated by the client, payment upon service is required and we were hired for 2hrs. After fulfilling our contract, we waited for more than 2 hours quietly and respectfully, looking for the coordinator (who was nowhere to be found) to request payment, which was supposed to be on our music stand before we finished. After that no one cared to pay us for the service. At that point I went to the person that hired us (the bride) and kindly, quietly, discreetly and respectfully asked for payment. She had a random person pull out a checkbook (from her bra) and write the check. Moreover, with a smile, the bride said we were wonderful and made her Wedding perfect. Very bizarre.

Having never played an entire evening of Renaissance music, Aki and Mike took on the challenge and really exceeded our expectations. Our guests were amazed at their musicianship, their affability, and their knowledge of wide variety of Renaisance music. They are the ultimate professionals and were integral in making our themed party a huge success. We give them the highest rating possible. They will be an superb asset to any event you plan and we hope to have them play at our future parties.
