Raymond Lai Violinist from Richmond, VA

Raymond is a classically trained violinist originally from Fairfax, Virginia. He started playing when he was in pre-school under the Suzuki method and has since had bountiful experience playing for the McLean Youth Orchestra from age 10 to 18, the William and Mary Symphony Orchestra, and even four stints with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He has played as a soloist, part of duets, and quartets in numerous types of venues including weddings, fundraisers, alumni events, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, and many more. While residing in Richmond with his lovely wife, Caroline, who is also a singer/guitarist, he currently is a violinist in the Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra and the newly formed VCU Health Orchestra "Music and Medicine". In addition to classical pieces, he has been asked on several occasions to play contemporary pop music, so please do not hesitate for specific requests and if you want to also hire him as a guitar/violin duet combination.
