Studied percussion at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Began singing and stage performing at age 13. Has played drums and sang in multiple groups throughout the years performing genres of music such as Rock, RB, Funk, Disco, Jazz, Classic Rock, Country, Rockabilly, and Originals. Jammed with Richie Havens and Buddy Miles. Influenced by Grand Funk Railroad, Buddy Miles, Phil Collins, Doobie Brothers, Earth-Wind-Fire, Kool and the Gang, Chicago, and Buddy Rich.
