Clean comedy, corporate comedy, creative comedy, original comedy, personal comedy, and of course funny comedy! Amanda Cohen is an opinionated GenX woman with a lot of punch and punchlines. Her comedy comes from decades of real life experiences. She’s the voice of a generation no one wants to hear from, and audiences of all ages love her. She can be clean enough for a church, hot enough for a bar, and smart enough for public radio. She will challenge your assumptions about women of a certain age with her darkly intelligent humor. In 2024 she appeared on an episode of GOOD MYTHICAL MORNING and won a competition between comedians of five different "generations," beating out a Boomer, a Millennial, a GenZ, and a Gen Alpha, not only with with original material she wrote for the show but improvised moments with the hosts. The episode currently has over 600K views on YouTube. Last year she appeared as a "teenager" on The Kevin Langue show, in an episode that currently has over 2.5M views on YouTube. She's also a PowerPoint specialist so she has more than her share of workplace stories, working with clients and understanding corporate situations. Amanda has been doing standup comedy for over 22 years, not in a row. The first 11 were in Pittsburgh, where she worked regularly at the Funny Bone until she moved to Chicago and briefly quit standup to study improv at Second City. The second 11 years started in Chicago before she moved to Los Angeles in 2017, where she has performed at The Improv and The Comedy Store. Outside of LA she has performed at Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club in Las Vegas, Stir Crazy in Phoenix, The Laughing Tap in Milwaukee, Zanies in Chicago, a few Don't Tell Comedy shows, and tons of other rooms. In 2019 and 2020, she made the top 16 (out of hundreds) in the World Series of Comedy. Festival appearances include Windy City Comedy Fest, Big Pine Festival, and SLO Fest in San Luis Obispo. Outside of standup, Amanda is a commercial actor with a few national spots and an appearance on TO TELL THE TRUTH in 2021. She has performed in the SAG-AFTRA Radio Plays, a live performance of golden age radio. In 2026 year she debuted her first solo show at the LACAE Theater in Los Angles, with future performances upcoming.
