Scott is a very funny comedian. He connected very well with the audience. We were grateful that he was able to perform for us. I strongly recommend him.
Scott grew up in a small-town and then moved to a major city, only to wind-up in the Suburbs. His hilarious Tales from the Cornstalk Ghetto show could only be created by someone who lived his whole life in the Middle of the Country.
Scott is especially known for his inspirational elements discussing the great influence his daughter has made on him (she's on the autism spectrum.) This makes him a big hit for motivational events and fundraisers. Over the past couple of years Scott has raised over 100,000 for different charities!
What puts Scott above others is how he uses his 13 years of experience writing for NFL on FOX and ESPN (Wisconsin's own Frank Caliendo's sketches) to customize material for each event. You get an emmy nominated writer to create hilarious material about your group! Add to this the AMAZING improvisation he does which makes the audience his co-stars. There is no better act for a fundraiser, as Scott's poignant story of having a child with a disability connects on all levels. When you combine his 23 years of experience, with his multiple TV credits, and to it that the show is written with a Midwest point of view...you just can't find a better choice.
His latest comedy CD, Good Dad...Not a Great Dad is a big selling standup release which can be found or heard on iTunes, Amazon, Pandora, and Sirius/XM satellite radio.
I've listened to and reviewed 52 comedy albums in 2013, but Scott Long's Good Dad….Not a Great Dad is probably the one that touched me the most. A-rating!
Scott Long tosses out sharp and clever lines that remind you of the differences between funny people and true comedic artists.
Scott's WARNING: Hiring a comedian is not like hiring a plumber. You go for the lowest bid & there's a great chance you could wind up w/someone who isn't funny & even worse--could be offensive in their material--despite their claims. I've been performing standup for the past 20 years, at all the major comedy clubs and have done 100's of corporate comedy events to rave reviews. (see below:) Don't let a few 100 dollars stand in the way of having a great event your attendees will be talking about for a long time. The inexperienced comics on here cause me 2 bring my price quotes down from my regular agency fee so Gigmasters is good for you!
An example of what Scott's professional clean comedy offers. This review was from a show in October 2014 which had an average age of 75 & even one woman over 100.
We hosted a client appreciation event and Scott did a great job in his presentation. Our client list included many retirees and Scott was able to relate very well to them. I have received many compliments from the attendees with how much they enjoyed the evening.

DO NOT BOOK SCOTT…..if you hate laughing so hard your stomach hurts! Scott was hilarious! Some of our State Farm events can be a bit stuffy, Scott broke through all of that and had everyone rolling. His improvisation and quick wit was very impressive. So too was the fact that he tailored a lot of his material to our industry. Honestly, I want to host another event just so I can book Scott again.
Justin of State Farm Insurance
