I'm a magician in Southeast Michigan, and I work in three formats depending on the room. Close-up is where I spend most of my time. Magic in your guests' hands rather than on a stage, table to table or through a cocktail hour, a few people at a time. It's the kind of thing guests end up describing to each other for the rest of the night. Parlor is for a seated group, roughly 20 to 40 people. Everyone sees the same thing at the same time, and it gives your evening a moment where the whole room is together instead of split into conversations. Stage is for the bigger crowd, when you have a real audience in front of you and want a set built to hold it. I've been performing since I was 15, so about 50 years now. I'm an award-winning magician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. I also ran my own business for 30 years, and that shows up in ways that matter more than any trick. I answer quickly, I show up early, and I work the times you give me. Most of my work is corporate: holiday parties, client appreciation nights, receptions and conferences. I also do weddings, milestone birthdays, and charity dinners. Mixed-age crowds are a strength, and so are tight schedules, because I can start and stop exactly where your evening needs me to.
