The Valley's Hottest Dance Band - Keeping Traditional Country Music Alive!! Robert Creelman & CrossRoad have been performing around the Phoenix area bringing the Honky Tonk sounds from Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Ray Price to Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson, & George Strait along with original tunes that blend with the dance halls and favorites to all that love true country music. Born in West Texas, this Lone Star native grew up to the sounds of Hank Williams, Porter Waggoner, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and George Jones just to name a few. The ‘Honky Tonk’ sounds have been the most influential in providing some of the best dance hall music to be found. Having moved to Arizona in the late 70’s, Robert continued playing music in the Chandler area for friends and family. This eventually led to playing in local bands and venues around the Phoenix area and surrounding Arizona communities. The late 90’s would find Robert being tagged by the Arizona Country Music Association as Top Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year in 1995. The following year would find him with a repeat of the Top Male Vocalist of 1996. During the early years of 2000, Robert stepped aside of the music scene to concentrate on song writing and recording. He released a few recordings during that time that would rise in the European Charts. In association with Comstock Records, Blue Monday, released in 2001, hit the radio stations throughout the United States & Europe. It would eventually gain enough success to hit #1 in Germany. The follow-up release, Back Booth of a Tavern, saw success in achieving the #2 spot on the charts in France. CrossRoad is currently playing around the Phoenix area and around the state promoting their latest album 'Waltz at Midnight' while keeping traditional country music alive and well.
