Magnolia Drawl – consisting of members Mary White (lead/backing vocals, guitar, saxophone), Hugh Cline (lead/backing vocals, guitar), Shellie Dorman (lead/backing vocals, bass guitar) and Dave Patt (lead/backing vocals, drums) - is a Southern California/Los Angeles based band that plays a nice mix of Country, Rock-n-Roll, Classic Rock, Pop and Originals. The name Magnolia Drawl was inspired by that sweet southern accent that is so easy on the ears. They hope you walk away feeling the same way about their music. Magnolia Drawl brings their own country sound and style to their cover songs and will play anything from Johnny Cash to Miranda Lambert to Michael Jackson. Their harmonies are a sweet blend of voices that have become a signature sound and add a special touch to many of their songs. Regardless of age or taste there's something for everyone to join in on the dance floor. The Magnolia Drawl band members each have a long and impressive history of entertaining fans throughout Southern California, up and down the California coast and across the country. They also all have a deep respect for our military men and women based overseas and have participated in the MWR program entertaining troops in such diverse locations as Iraq, Bosnia, Japan, China, South Korea and Cuba. Their first Magnolia Drawl CD titled Try A Little Harder was released in April 2018 and has 11 of their fan favorite originals that they mix in to their sets. Some of their fans have even choreographed some original line dances to their music and are always happy to teach it to anyone eager to join them on the dance floor.
