Six Sons of a Gun is Austin’s Premier traditional Country Cover band. We have over 20 years of experience playing private parties, corporate events, weddings, and live music venues. We have complied a list of 100s of covers songs from the 60’s to some of today’s most popular country recording artists. We host several amazing musicians that have played some of the most iconic stages in Texas including the original Armadillo Headquarters, The Continental Club and even the Kennedy Center in DC. We currently play at The Little Longhorn, Giddy Ups, Hanover’s, Dam Red Barn, Alamo Brewery, Country Nights and Jack Roadhouse. These venues span from Pflugerville to San Antonio. Our corporate and private party events have included Weddings, Birthday Parties, Corporate Mixers, The Boots and Bows Event for Ballet Austin and we were honored to play for the Seal Legacy Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to families of wounded and fallen United States Navy Seals. In addition to the danceable country that we play, we also include some classic rock, pop, and R&B. While our signature sound is based around traditional country music, we can also perform a wide variety of music from different genres. We will customize a set list designed around your event to ensure that your attendees have a great experience. The LAST thing you will need to worry about is the entertainment. For private events, we can assist with announcements or help out with raffles or giveaways. We can manage guest speakers or toasts. We can also provide customized recorded playlist for dinner music or break music. We provide all the sound reinforcement for any size event along with stage and dancefloor lighting. We can also provide multiple PA systems for your ceremony or a special location that is away from where the band is performing We can perform as a full six-piece band: Guitar, Steel/Fiddle, Lead Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, or we can provide something more intimate with a duo of Guitar and Fiddle or a brass instrument for something a little out of the ordinary.
