Wildwood Angels is a Pacific Northwest country band rooted in the classic sounds of honky-tonk, Western swing, country soul, and roadhouse R&B. The band brings vintage country character to venues that want real music — warm, danceable, and built for a Saturday night. Led by vocalist Sheena Denney, the band draws from the deep well of American country music — Buck Owens, Patsy Cline, Ray Price, Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris, Ray Charles, and Etta James — with arrangements that honor the originals while feeling alive in the room. Pedal steel and dobro come from Berklee-trained Jason Kuykendall, a 2025 Northwest Country Music & Americana Association Finalist. Wildwood Angels books as a trio (vocals and guitar, pedal steel, bass) or as a full five-piece band with drums and additional guitar. The trio is a great fit for intimate venues, wineries, and acoustic-friendly rooms; the full band is built for festivals, dance nights, and country weddings. What to expect: a professional, self-sufficient band — PA, all equipment, and setup/breakdown included. Sets can lean danceable, rootsy, soulful, or quieter depending on the room. Recent venues include Olalla Winery, Marrowstone Vineyards, Port Townsend Winery, Meadowmeer Golf Course, Alderbrook Golf & Yacht Club, and festivals and markets across Western Washington and the Puget Sound region.
