Re Mattei Country Singer from Columbia, TN

Re’s sultry, soulful voice brings stories to life to satisfy music enthusiasts with a taste for contemporary country steeped in tradition. She is a Berklee College of Music graduate, originally from Trenton, NJ, who earned her bachelor’s degree in guitar performance. While living in Boston she joined the all-female, Top 40, seven-piece band—the Uptown Girls. This opportunity enabled Mattei to become a global performer at nightclubs and military bases in Japan, the Philippines, Singapore and Hawaii. Mattei moved to Music City to focus on her songwriting and solo career. She has performed at the Bluebird Café, Opryland Hotel and the Tennessee State Fair (WSM-AM stage) to name a few. Teaming with producer Bart Pursley, she recorded and released her debut single, “Country Love,” in 2014. She continued her chart success on the Music Row Breakout Charts with the songs "Bump, Bump, Bump" and "Feels Like It's Gonna Rain" (one of the co-writers includes Carrie Underwood). Mattei is currently adding the finishing touches on her upcoming album Believin’ Is Seein’. She performs as if she was entertaining family in her living room, making eye contact with everyone in the audience, and loves to tell the stories behind the songs. Re states " I see performing like a family reunion, full of laughter and memories that will last a lifetime." So how would Re describe her musical style? “You take a real smooth Pinot Noir, mix it with little dirt, add an ice cube, and stir it up real hard,” she says with a wicked smile.
