Thanks Pat! Yeah, volume is always a challenge, and we easily work with venues / groups on volume when germane. We were asked to lower the overall volume once and we did; and then received a thumbs up :-) So, we naturally thought all was OK, because at that point, the folks that stayed in the ballroom and rocked / danced until the end, were fine with the volume. I believe that the folks that talked outside the Ballroom - some immediately upon the ceremonies ending and the band starting - probably would not be fine with any live band in the same room :-) As you stated; the age group was unique that it went into higher numbers than usual (70 to 90s). You also advised us, well before the show date, that small groups finding a quiet place to "catch up" was expected / inevitable for this annual event. So, very glad it worked out for those that coveted a conversation area and those that wanted to dance / rock the night away! :-)
