Whether you want to dance, sing along, or relax - Modern Refuge brings something special for everyone. What began as a casual weekly jam session in the kitchen quickly evolved into an outlet for our combined musical interests and tastes. From the beginning, our vision has been to provide our audience with a unique and memorable live experience - leaving everyone inspired. The four of us have come from diverse musical backgrounds. We set high standards for what we produce and bring out during our live performances. Through our thoughtful creative input, we incorporate music from a wide range of eras and genres and are always experimenting with challenging - sometimes unexpected - song choices. We have performed in a variety of settings such as private parties, breweries, music venues, and bars as well as opening for George Thorogood and Sammy Hagar at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, CT. Each time we perform, we elicit an unforgettable emotional and energetic response from the audience. Along with our four-piece band, we also offer duo acoustic performances. All four of us work together to tailor the setlist flawlessly to the occasion and setting, bringing your vision to life. We have an extensive song list spanning from classic rock to soul, hip-hop to top 40, modern era to R&B, and new wave to 90's alternative which we will provide upon request. We also bring an excellent sound engineer and professional lighting to our performances to enhance the experience. We look forward to collaborating with you!
