“Powerhouse vocals, Iconic guitar riffs. Your favorite playlist - Live on Stage!” Southgate 40 is a rock cover band featuring one of the premier female vocalists in NC. Audiences love to dance and sing along with Annie as she sings hits from classic rock to modern music from Alanis Morissett, No Doubt, Heart, Linda Ronstadt, and many others. Annie is backed by professional-level musicians with state of the art lights and PA equipment. Southgate 40 Band is widely known in the NC Triangle club scene and has been selected for weddings, private parties, and festivals. What to expect: We often play 3 hour gigs that include a 15 minute break. We usually arrive 2-1/2 hours prior to start time to set up instruments, PA, and lights; a sound check 45 minutes prior to start makes sure everything is good to go. We’ve had staff at multiple venues tell us we’re the best band that has played at their place…expect to be blown away by Annie’s powerful vocals and expect to have an absolute blast! About: We are a 5 member cover band playing a mix of classic and modern rock. We play songs by great artists, including Heart, Kelly Clarkson, Journey, Adele, Evanescence, Linkin Park, Pat Benetar, Fleetwood Mac and many others. We are led by one of the best female vocalists in NC, Annie Marchetta! Southgate 40 has performed at Tin Roof, Real McCoy’s, Aviator Brewery, Hero’s, The Cardinal, Locked & Loaded, Mulligans, Napper Tandy’s, Shakey Ray’s, Angier Bike Fest (as headliner), weddings, and private events/parties. We are the featured band in the Town of Franklinton’s upcoming New Year’s Eve festival “First Night Funkytown.”
