Talk to Mark is a 20+ year established Tampa Bay area Rock/Pop Cover, Tribute and Alt Band with 2 original CD Recordings (Spotify/Bandcamp). Watch our videos. Our core band is 5-6 players and we include horns, harmonica and violins (up to 12 players) when the music demands ( Chicago, Springsteen, Sly & the family Stone, etc.). We play danceable Rock, Pop, R&B, New Wave, Alt Rock, Indie, and perform at Festivals including Tampa Bay Blues Fest, Little River Jam (7 Years), Tropical Heatwave, Jingle Bell Fest and others. WMNF 88.5 FM books us to play their events every year since 2012. Drummer Gene Young being asked in 2005 by a concert venue manager...."whats your bands name?" Gene replied "I dont know, talk to Mark." Mark Murphy lead vocalist/guitarist said "thats what you get when you wait too long to pick band name." Mark and Gene started the band in 2005 and along with their talented sidemen/sidewomen have played festivals, concerts and nightclubs for over 20 years all across Tampa Bay area. Releasing 2 CD's of Original Rock and Alt/Indie music (on Spotify & Bandcamp) are working on a 3rd CD in 2025. Known to deploy Horn and String sections TTM has also performed note for note Tribute concerts including, but not limited to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Credence Clearwater Revival, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen and many more.
