We hired Uncle John's Clan to perform at our wedding reception. We did not want the traditional big wedding reception with all the gimmicks. Just an introduction and a first dance. Kurt and his band were very accommodating for that. Many of our guests enjoyed the music that they played.
The name depicts an association with music from the Grateful Dead. We also play a lot music from the Classic late 60's era. Some groups we represent are The Band, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Canned Heat, The Beatles and many more. Check out our song list, videos, and audio demos.
Instrumentally, it consists of Kurt performing Lead Vocals, Keyboard, Saxophone, Flute and an intention to add plenty more instruments. Shawn backs up vocals and plays Guitar and can add more instruments down the line. For 2 individuals the sound is really full. Add the drummer from Kurt's Calypso Steel Drum Band "The White-Eyed Lizard Band" and the sound grows even more dynamically as Luke Rodney contributes vocals.
The group is not stuck in the sixties. We also feature Jack Johnson songs and are working on some Dispatch material as well. After a first ever performance in February. We were busy in March with 8 gigs (3 in Vermont 5 in Connecticut).
We are prepared to travel. We enjoy meeting new friends and being part of any good vibe party where our music will set the mood for the day.
